New York Giants coach Brian Daboll is hiring former Texans tight ends coach Andy Bischoff as his new tight ends coach, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Daboll hired former Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka as offensive coordinator.
Bischoff coached for the Texans last season under former coach David Culley, who was fired after a 4-13 season.
Bischoff coached tight ends Pharaoh Brown, Brevin Jordan, Jordan Akins and Antony Auclair.
Bischoff was previously the Baltimore Ravens' assistant tight ends coach.
Bischoff coached for the Ravens for six years, coaching Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews and one of the top blocking tight ends in the NFL in Nick Boyle.
Bischoff was previously an offensive assistant/tight ends coach.
Bischoff was a tight ends coach and staff coordinator for the Chicago Bears, coaching Martellus Bennett as he made the Pro Bowl and led all NFL tight ends with 90 receptions.
Bischoff was also a special teams coordinator and running backs coach for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL.
